The LaSalle Police Service has recently launched the Versaterm Records Management System (RMS) in a multi-jurisdictional environment with the Windsor Police Service. The enterprise system is an intuitive platform equipped with robust auditing and logging capabilities. The solution offers quick access to mission-critical data, enabling trend identification, refined searches and customizable data analysis. It was designed to fit agency workflows through a user-friendly interface.
The Town of LaSalle encompasses approximately 65 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 35,000 served by 63 law enforcement staff, civilian and sworn. The Windsor Police Service has 501 sworn members and 150 civilian members. The agency serves the City of Windsor the Town of Amherstburg.
The successful onboarding also included the rollout of the Versaterm Mobile Report Entry (MRE). The Versaterm RMS extension for mobile provides a simplified, streamlined and easy-to-navigate user interface that allows officers to efficiently enter, modify and complete reports, whether connected or offline. Officers can access critical data more quickly by checking information on names, addresses, vehicles, property, etc. against local RMS and County, State and national databases.
The implementation of Versaterm RMS in a multi-jurisdictional environment follows LaSalle’s recent deployment of the Versaterm Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) with Versaterm Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) earlier this year. There is seamless integration between the two enterprise systems because they were developed together, which ensures a powerful, user-friendly tool for data-driven decisions.
Similar to the many agencies utilizing Versaterm’s integrated multi-jurisdictional capability, LaSalle and Windsor’s shared database provides both agencies with immediate access to crime incident data. This integration allows for efficient and coordinated responses, as criminal activity moves from one jurisdiction to another, all while maintaining secure access and data entry capabilities within their own geographic borders.
