We have announced the winners of our 2025 Versaterm Innovation Award competition. This annual recognition celebrates the ingenuity and problem-solving excellence of public safety organizations, highlighting the unique and impactful ways they are advancing the field. 

The Versaterm Innovation Award honors police agencies, PSAPs/ECCs, fire departments, forensic labs, court systems, prosecutor offices, schools and other organizations that use Versaterm solutions (and related technology) to address challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes for their organization and respective communities. Selected by a panel of neutral evaluators, this year’s winners were recognized for their innovative approaches and measurable impact. 

• First Place: Phoenix Police Department – Using Versaterm CommunityConnect to Enhance Community Relations 
• Second Place: Bakersfield Police Department – Analyzing Versaterm CommunityConnect Survey Feedback within Versaterm CAD/RMS 
• Third Place:  North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory – Using Versaterm LIMS-plus with Reporting Tools to Streamline Lab Operations and Increase Data Visibility

“The Versaterm Innovation Award celebrates the ingenuity and dedication of public safety agencies that are not only solving today’s challenges using Versaterm solutions but also shaping the future of our field”, said the Committee Chair of the Versaterm Innovation Award. “This year’s winners exemplify what’s possible when innovation is driven by purpose—and we’re proud to recognize their impact and share their success with the broader community.” 

Winners of the 2025 Versaterm Innovation Award will share their programs during the 2025 Versaterm Re:Invent Users Conference – an event dedicated to exploring the latest innovations in public safety, sharing best practices and discovering opportunities to improve operations and outcomes. The winners will present on their successes and insights gained throughout the process, sharing their knowledge to help other organizations tackle future challenges with clarity and confidence.
