Versaterm Participates in NENA ICE-11 Event

Updated: May 3

In the ever-evolving landscape of public safety, the transition to Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) stands as a pivotal moment for public safety answering points (PSAPs) and emergency call centers (ECCs). The legacy 9-1-1 infrastructure that emergency response has traditionally relied on is becoming unequipped to manage modern communications, such a text and video, and response expectations. These challenges have introduced the need for a more sophisticated emergency communication system and solutions. These migrations ultimately empower public safety communicators and responders to make informed decisions and respond effectively. It's not just a technological upgrade, but a necessary leap forward for those who serve our communities.

Versaterm is dedicated to supporting agencies as they work to transition toward NG9-1-1-compliant systems. This commitment starts with crafting purposeful solutions that are prepared to meet the needs of tomorrow. Recently, Versaterm CAD was tested at an event hosted by The National Emergency Number Association (NENA). This well-respected industry group plays a critical role in shaping the emergency communications landscape, paving the way for NG9-1-1's success.

At NENA's ICE-11 Event, Versaterm’s CAD was tested for its interoperability and against the latest standards that outline the development and operation of NG9-1-1 systems. Our team was thankful for the opportunity to work with other members of the public safety community toward the next generation of emergency communications. Learn more about the event here.

In a time when people are more connected than ever, our emergency response systems must evolve to meet new expectations for service. Events like NENA's ICE-11 meeting help advance public safety from its legacy 9-1-1 capabilities through rigorous standards testing, ensuring that products and services are fully prepared for NG9-1-1 demands. Versaterm is on a journey to design purposeful solutions for emergency communications, and public safety agencies. It is reassuring to see our solutions undergo industry testing, ensuring they are well-prepared to support the needs of our customers and their communities.
