I joined Versaterm in the summer of 2016 after graduating with a degree in Computer Science. While completing my studies, I worked as a software developer part-time so I had a good sense for the type of company where I wanted to start the next phase of my career. Versaterm has a great reputation in the public safety software industry and I was encouraged by a professor at school to apply for a position.
From the beginning, I was immediately impressed by the company culture at Versaterm, a stimulating environment where I could meaningfully contribute to solving complex real-life problems facing first responders. The ability to leverage technology to assist public safety professionals and make a difference in the lives of our communities is something I take great pride in.
The ever-changing nature of our work at Versaterm really motivates me every day. I’ve been fortunate to support a wide variety of challenging projects as a software developer for CAD and MDT with a specialization in CAD interfaces, mapping, and Next-Generation 9-1-1. I also enjoy regularly interacting with customers to address their needs first-hand.
Five years later, joining Versaterm was the best decision of my career. I’m excited about our future and find satisfaction in mentoring new hires with the expectation they also will find personal and professional success in being a part of the Versaterm family.
