Baltimore Police Department’s Forensic Science and Evidence Services Division Earns Reaccreditation and National Recognition

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 24, 2026) — BPD’s Forensic Science and Evidence Services Division was reaccredited after a March 2026 audit, expanding its scope to Digital Forensics, Rapid DNA, and Property Room, making it the first East Coast lab, and fifth nationally, accredited in Property Room. The release notes the division is also a recent recipient of the Versaterm Innovation Award.
