According to Versaterm’s 2025 Public Safety Trends, drone technology is seeing widespread adoption across public safety agencies, with 76% having implemented drones and 17% considering implementation. Interest in artificial intelligence continues to grow with 68% of agencies looking to explore new or additional applications that use AI within the next one to two years.

This integration will lead to an improvement in the overall data consistency as well as accelerate the investigative review process. Ultimately, it will help make the workflow more efficient and allow the officers to focus more of their time on their primary goal of serving their community.

• Versaterm Forensics x Versaterm RMS reduces manual data entry by automatically transferring case and property data to lab evidence requests, improving data accuracy and streamlining workflows. This seamless connection accelerates lab processing and automatically generates and attaches a final report to the case in the RMS after the lab has accepted and analyzed the evidence. The result is faster case resolution, real-time chain-of-custody tracking and more time for investigators and technicians to focus on community outcomes. 

Throughout the event, topics like Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs and operational efficiency emerged as key initiatives for many agencies. Public safety leaders shared how these priorities align with their goals to strengthen community trust and improve response times through unified, data-driven tools. As an update to Versaterm Public Portal, a solution in the Versaterm IAPro suite, the Transparency Dashboard is accessible to both current and future Versaterm IAPro users.
