The Events Manager will facilitate the planning and execution of tradeshows, conferences, and sponsorships. This role requires exceptional organizational abilities, as well as superb communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning and is an enthusiastic collaborator with a successful history of coordinating the entire event life. 


  • Lead all Versaterm Public Safety events from strategy to planning through execution

  • Identify key events, maintain pre- and post-show communication, and secure speaking opportunities

  • Coordinate the production of event communications, promotions, and media requirements

  • Act as the primary point of contact for details and logistics related to events

  • Develop, maintain, and recommend events budget requirements

  • Collaborate with key decision-makers and account holders

  • Work with the in-house designer to ensure the event display accurately represents the Versaterm Public Safety brand

  • Responsible for ordering and tracking event inventory, including collateral and giveaways

  • Spearhead the development and enhancement of event team processes and guidelines

  • Maintain professional relationships with all internal and external event stakeholders

  • Execute appropriate and timely project administration, including task follow-up, emails, phone calls, etc.


  • Post-secondary education or a certificate in Hospitality or Event Management preferred

  • 5+ years of Event experience - specifically organizing event logistics from conception, planning, through to execution

  • Critical eye for the smallest of details and knowledge of the key factors to successful event management

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with an ability to prioritize multiple deliverables at a time

  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder and customer expectations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven track record of working independently as well as part of a team
