System Administrator

Job Description:

As a Systems Administrator, you are a highly motivated and experienced individual with proven technical, analytical, and business skills. Do you take pride in your work and have a passion for efficiently delivering high-quality work?

You are able to focus and complete multiple implementation projects while supporting and responding to diverse questions and requests from staff and on occasions from our customers. 

You possess strong and diverse enterprise-level datacenter systems admin & networking experience.  In this role, you will work closely with a variety of teams, including equipment suppliers and software vendors.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications


  • University degree or College diploma in computer networking, computer administration, or computer science, combined with 5+ years of networking, Active Directory, and Multi-factor experience.


 Technical skills:

  • Experience with Cisco networking, ASA’s, and Cisco communication equipment.

  • Experience with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls.

  • Experience with Microsoft Server Active Directory, RSA SecurID, Multi-Factor Authentication, DNS, and DHCP Services.

  • Experience with VMware vSphere, vSphere Replication, VMware Fusion/Workstation, and RedHat Linux.

  • Experience with Intel servers and fibre channel storage equipment.

  • Ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

  • Above average communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally.

  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications, or similar.



  • Act as a prime contact for major projects related to new hardware implementations with a focus on network integration, communications, and multisite environments.

  • Support and maintain our corporate network, virtual private networks, and VOIP communication/phone system.

  • Desktop computing environments that include Windows10 and macOS, VMware. virtualized desktops, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based services.

  • Be prepared to answer questions from a variety of staff, including the software development and support teams, the sales & demo team, and the corporate staff.

  • Expected to plan your work and work your plan, following change management policies and documenting new configurations.

  • Maintain HPE servers, SAN and Veritas NetBackup.

  • Provide training for new and upgraded technologies that you will be implementing. 

  • Provide 3rd tier technical support for infrastructure-related issues and questions at customer locations.

  • Be an effective listener and be capable of quickly understanding the requirements, maturity, self-disciplined, focused, and ask questions.

  • Ability to help several different groups each of which have unique requirements, from software developers, project managers, and administrative staff.

  • Ability to derive time estimates and be comfortable with your ability to deliver quality within the estimates.

  • Ability to interact with peers to develop the best way of proceeding.

  • Ability to express oneself in clear concise English writing and speaking.
