THE ROLE

Do you enjoy the process of creating a fantastic event? We are looking for an experienced event specialist to join our dynamic Marketing team. Reporting to the Events Manager, you will help plan and manage virtual, live, and hybrid events in alignment with Versaterm’s company strategy. 

We want you to be an innovative thinker with creative problem-solving skills who can stay calm under pressure and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders. You should be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. Ideally, you have a can-do attitude and can work independently on multiple projects. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and contribute to many aspects of Versaterm’s trade show experiences, including planning, ordering services, coordinating logistics, tracking deliverables, and managing deadlines 

  • Help coordinate and support the company’s annual customer workshop. This may include conducting site visits, negotiating meeting facilities, recruiting session presenters, coordinating promotional materials, planning entertainment, populating event software, handling registration, and scheduling staff 

  • Coordinate with product marketing, product management, sales, and other departments as appropriate to successfully execute internal and external events 

  • Utilize registration software to source venues, monitor event registration, manage budgets, and generate reports 

  • Works with creative on materials such as invitations, signage, sponsorship advertisements, and other branded mediums as necessary 

  • Support all aspects of vendor management 

  • Prepares pre-show and post-show briefs and reports for successful planning and evaluation  

  • Awareness of state, federal, and trade show industry policies regarding giveaways, promotions, etc. 

THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of experience in event management ideally within the technology or public safety sector 

  • Flexible and adaptable to short deadlines and able to prioritize quickly 

  • Great verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to establish and build business relationships with internal and external contacts 

  • Must exhibit high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and poise; be articulate and confident. 

  • Proficient with event management software 

  • Fluency in French is preferred
