POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Marketing Director provides thought leadership and oversight of all marketing activities that will directly support Versaterm’s future growth. She/he will support Versaterm’s go-to-market efforts to establish/expand brand presence in multiple market segments and verticals, and to position Versaterm as the leading incident and records management software platform for Police, Fire, EMS, and other public safety services agencies in North America (primarily).

We are searching for a qualified and resourceful Marketing Director to support our rapid growth and to ensure effective and best-in-class brand marketing and demand generation planning and execution. The Marketing Director will have both strategic and tactical responsibilities, including but not limited to overseeing all marketing activity, developing marketing strategies and plans, conducting competitive research, interfacing with external entities (ad agencies, sponsors, industry event managers, etc.) to establish/expand Versaterm’s brand reach, streamlining and optimizing the demand gen process, managing implementation and maintenance of marketing automation tools, establishing a metrics driven marketing model and reporting on marketing performance, and playing a key role in achieving organizational growth goals. A key to success is collaborating and working closely with Versaterm senior managers and others within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee Versaterm Public Safety brand – brand management, development of brand promise and positioning, and organizational messaging to reinforce the promise.

  • Unify brand messaging for Versaterm’s portfolio of acquisitions (incl. Adashi, SPIDR Tech, Case Service, and eJust), to drive a singular/consolidated vision for the company in the public safety market.

  • Apply primary research and predictive analytics to drive business outcomes. 

  • Define and apply microtargeted customer segmentation models (to be completed in collaboration with sales and product team leaders).

  • Work collaboratively with product and industry experts to drive creation of marketing and sales assets to support thought leadership and demand generation activities.

  • Drive creation of thought-leadership materials, client and executive presentations, case studies and other content designed to accelerate our business momentum.

  • Develop and execute fully integrated marketing campaigns which may include online/digital marketing, events, direct mail campaigns, webinars, and more.

  • Source prospect lists, contacts, and other market information to run lead generation campaigns.

  • Develop lead nurturing models/campaigns to progress prospective buyers through the marketing funnel.

  • Devise an effective digital marketing plan – SEO/SEM, website optimization, etc. (as needed).

  • Oversee promotional event(s) setup and management at industry trade shows and other venues, coordinating with sales and executive leadership to ensure effective brand presence and marketing activity.

  • Manage requirement development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of marketing and automation system.

  • Track marketing campaign ROI and report effectiveness against sales and marketing goals.

  • Leverage business partners and associations to extend marketing programs and reach.

  • Facilitate communication with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management to report on success of activities and proactively communicate plans for the coming month, quarter, and year.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Well-organized, self-directed team player; open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things, has a resourceful mindset, and strong problem-solving aptitude.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent sales and marketing experience.

  • 5-10 years of marketing and demand generation experience.

  • Expert understanding of product marketing, account-based marketing, content marketing, referral marketing, and both traditional and digital demand generation principles.

  • Knowledge of brand concepts and experience in overseeing development of brand promise/positioning, as well as managing event and conference participation/sponsorships.

  • Hi-tech or software business/company experience (desired).

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and CRM/Marketing Automation Systems (Salesforce, Pardot, Eloqua, HubSpot, SalesFUSION, etc.); comfortable learning new systems (desired).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude (desired).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
