DOCUMENT IMAGING
In the modern comprehensive RMS, it is still necessary to scan in images of externally generated documents (lab certificates, drivers license copies, checks, credit card slips, etc.) or in cases in which the original image is vital (e.g., suicide note, handwritten confession, etc.). For police agencies, scanning documents is the exception so expensive high capacity scanners are not needed. Instead, Versadex supports a wide range of low cost desktop scanners, assumes the use of many 'convenience' scanners, allows digital images to be directly entered and presents these images in the logical file location, whether being viewed on a screen or printed in a PDF.
The Versadex Imaging application enables you to attach existing images (e.g., digital photos), without the use of a scanner. Additionally, using the Versadex Imaging application, you can also attach PDFs, video files, audio files, etc. to cases in the RMS. All attached files can later view viewed/played.
